Photo Info: Wanting more books to read, my Mom picked me out a "couple". From top down: A tale of two cities(my own addition having never read it), Watership down, MiddleMarch volume 1, MiddleMarch volume 2, Ivanhoe(also my addition, having already read it and enjoyed it immensely), and The Mill on the Floss.
Not knowing where the actual quote came from, here is a paraphrased version of having enough to read. "You should always have 3 books, a heavy book(currently we are reading "Growing strong in God's Family"), a biography(soon to start on a George Muller one), and a Novel(this should keep that section full for a while). All this after of course, the daily reading and studying of the Bible.
I must admit that sometimes I read through the Fictional stories faster and with more delight than the heavier readings, but at such time it is wise to call to mind Proverbs 1:7-
"The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction."
